IGHWeld.
Certification software for WPS and WPQR — where welding engineers leave spreadsheets behind.
Welding procedures in manufacturing are governed by EN and ISO standards, and the burden of proof lives in two documents — the WPS (the procedure specification) and the WPQR (the qualification record). In practice they have usually lived in one cluttered spreadsheet per engineer and one filing cabinet per factory. IGHWeld needed a multi-tenant SaaS where welding coordinators, technicians, and inspectors can build, version, and audit their procedures against a single shared source.
We built a React 19 SPA against an ASP.NET Core 10 API on EF Core over SQLite with WAL, JWT identity with six roles, and a Workbox PWA so welders can edit offline in the workshop and only sync once they're back at the desk. QuestPDF renders spec sheets that mirror the printed standard, and a Smart Engine layers a local rule engine for parameter validation on top of Azure OpenAI for chat, WPQR analysis, and OCR of legacy paper specifications.
