Rödeby Energi.
Digital and physical work for a local energy cooperative — from website to EV charging poles.
Rödeby Energi is a small local energy cooperative with three sub-brands — Elverk, Energi, and Kraft — and a community of members who actually read the AGM minutes. The site has to do two hard things: be accessible to older rural users on patchy connections, and also showcase a decidedly modern energy product.
We built the public site on WordPress with a custom theme, plugins chosen for accessibility, and a mobile layout that works on a kitchen-table browser in January. Beyond the web, we also designed the physical EV charging poles they now install at member sites — an industrial-design engagement that spans logo, mast shape, and user interface.
Web and hardware for the same cooperative — same team, same typography, same restraint.
